Socialists are a free enterprise variant in which natural resources, communication, and other enterprises which lend themselves to monopoly, are owned by the public, while all others which lend themselves to small scale development are left to sole ownerships, partnerships, cooperatives, and such. You use the word like a citizen of Wall Street or the USSR.

And the Russia that is charging us some $70 million per seat to send our astronauts up to the ISS that we paid 80% of to build is also out to kill us, do you think they would also want to kill the golden goose? All we need to do with the others is to keep an eye on them, and the CIA is fully capable of doing just that. We spend as much as the next ten nations spending COMBINED!
Perhaps it is time for us to close some ot the 700 or so facilities in foreign countries, and let those people defend themselves. And that my friend, is not a liberal opinion, it is a conservative make the government smaller opinion!!!

Raising the debt limit allows Congress to pay for what it has already agreed to spend . The money does not go to the President . The President cannot spend any money unless Congress gives prior approval .
