How can the Republicans be responsible for shutting down the Government when the Senate is controlled by the Dems, specifically Sen. Dirty-Harry Reid . . . it’s the Dems that won’t come to the table to negotiate, not the Republicans.
What’s needed is for O’Buma and his posse of Dems to meet with the Republicans and hash out this Govt. shut-down.
And believe it or not, none of us commenting on the situation can force any of the parties to sit at a table and hash this mess out.
But as for shutting down the National Parks, Monuments, etc., that’s purely up to the head of the Administration, meaning O’Buma….Congress has no control over Government owned properties, other than funding, but the day to day operations is part of the Administration which is, by law run by the President.
While I’ve never been to the Mall, nor any of the monuments, I’m fairly certain that there are no personnel hanging around any of these monuments, so closing a statue, well how do you do that exactly?
