How I ironic that I called out sick.
where is the irony?
you're in the hospital. you are sick.
you've had a mild stroke!
All that happened after I called out!
Once when in high school, my daughter had a temperature of 103°. So she drove to the beach. She says of that outing, “If you’re going to be miserable, you might as well do it someplace nice!”

Some employers have now changed it all over to leave time, instead of having a separate ‘sick pay’ and ‘leave pay’…..

ain’t that just the way of the world? you take a sick day to play “hooky”, then actually get sick!

Missed it, I did. Went golfin’ and din’t have a boss to call and say, “I’m feeling a bit ill today, gonna go see Dr. Green,”

Called out sick? Is that the same as calling in sick? Regional language variations?
