When Sergio said when he was Baldo’s age and thought there’d be flying cars, does he mean he used to watch “Back to the Future, Part II” or (to go back further) “The Jetsons”?

Baldo, you can’t blame an entire generation for that lack – just its inventors and scientists, and maybe the business community that didn’t feel like backing the research.

My reservation about personal flying cars/backpacks is traffic control. Check major freeway (a one word oxymoron) congestion and multiply that by the average number of occupants. Scary thought, even without the drunks. Still, it’s a neat thought.

If you had a wreck in a flying car you would crash into the ground. They would be much more dangerous than the cars we have now.

If it had to come down to choosing between “better ways to hear our own voices” and flying cars, I would pick the latter. No contest.
