^You’ll be bored…I have one I don’t use. I believe the phone companies are revamping their standards which will eliminate the compatibility of old-BellPhone -types anyway. So you are left with the type I bought from wal-mart recently- which must have shorted out due to STATIC ELECTRICITY (I went through two of them before I switched back to the type dependent on a separate electricity line). Definitely need a cordless; unless you really want to do without. One week of the short cords (or overly-long ones) will switch you back to cordless. And once you’ve made that jump…anything is possible (and annoying).
I still have an old fashioned black rotary phone. I also have a cordless digital for those wonderful automated menus we all know and love(not!). My cell phone is for long distance and emergency use. It mostly stays off. I neither need or want any applications.

I’m not running after these thingies…not enough rupees.
I like new software (open source ones), though.

I’m going to move back to the simplest phone made. Just makes calls, no photos, no apps. I’m dropping out!

Trouble with cordless is that if the power goes out it’s useless. You’d still need a landline in case that happens.

Sooky Rottweiler says; No e-marking for me. I leave my pee mail on fire hydrants and trees, that’s the canine way.

Cars, airplanes, bicycles, motorcycles= “mobile devices”. Put a cell phone on the table and how far can it move?
