It’s very simple, GOP. Get a majority in the House and Senate, get a Republican President, pass a law repealing it, get the President to sign it, and get the Supreme Court to affirm its Constitutionality. Then you won’t have to compromise, you’ll have the law on your side.
Way to go trying to make Ted Cruz look reasonable. But Cruz has stated unequivocally that he wants to stop the Affordable Care Act in its tracks. He wants to utterly defund it. The proposals suggested in this cartoon are red herrings, and the Continuing Resolution is no time or place to make these kinds of sweeping changes to the law of the land.

Yeah! Let’s delay it a year to get the bugs worked out. -And we promise, promise, promise, that we won’t threaten to shut down the government next year. Really. -I mean, when we were elected with a promise to focus on JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!, isn’t that exactly what we did?
^Yeah, absolutely.-And, just like you said, it was the Democrats who invaded Iraq, abandoned the search for bin Laden, passed the Bush tax cuts, demanded the bank bailout, and caused the Great Recession.-BTW, do you believe Rafael Cruz is constitutionally eligible to be president?
Honest question, Ion — news reports I saw showed video and quotes from several Republicans who ran on a platform of shutting down the govt.-There were also many quotes and some video of sitting Congressional Republicans expressing real enthusiasm for the shutdown, treating it as a victory.-Did Fox “news” show this side of things, or do they have a different take?
