Their feces is almost poisonous because it has so many diseases in it. When we moved from Alaska with our 12 retired sled dogs, we lost three dogs to raccoon poop before we found out their poop is deadly.
We used to have some coon rifling through our recycle bin and I saw it shuffling around the back yard. I didn’t have the heart to try to shoot it, but I did make a lot of noise to scare it off. Haven’t seen it in months.
