Iran doesn’t need to distract the US’s attention… Obama has the attention span of a 5 year old with ADD…

Your question/statement was impossible to comprehend.I think you were trying too hard to impress with your geopolitical knowledge.

He’d tell somebody else in the administration to do it, just like he abrogates all of his responsibilities to subordinates and then blames them for his failures.Biden on gun controlCongress on the budgetRepublicans on the sequesterHillary on Bengazhi

With Obama the buck stops down the street at 7-11…

As for solutions: If Obama wasn’t such a mediocre intellect and amateur at the actual job of politics he might be successful. But, he isn’t.

One solution that is already no longer available would have been for Obama to not make threats and statements on the Syrian situation that his @$$ couldn’t make good on.A “drive by” using cruise missiles won’t work either. Historical evidence from the Clinton administration doing this is that it will eventually just embolden our enemies to retaliate. It solves nothing. It took him nearly a year to decide to actually get Bin Laden because of his indecisiveness and then it was done more as a political ploy for election purposes than for sound military reasons.

Obama backed himself into a corner on the Middle East through inept and amateur political posturing like his Cairo speech, as one example, and now he’s in a position that means massive risk and potential military casualties to take effective action.

This is what he gets for vacillating and being indecisive in his actions and words. In the arena of foreign affairs and international politics he is just a food source for prediators.

It’s not only Iran watching the US. Russia, China, North Korea, and every other nation with large militaries and dwindling resources is watching the US. They are not only watching our resolve and willingness to involve ourselves, but the strategies and tactics we use to do so. That is another of the reasons I want the Arab League to lead any manned air assault of Syrian resources. The middle east has already learned, and shared, the ways to damage/destroy Abrams tanks and other equipment, why should we teach other competitors our strengths and weaknesses? It’s a shame that Syria has become a military ‘playing field’ so old men in safe places can send young men on the battlefield to fight. Some fight for family and home, but too many from outside the nation are fighting for political power in and out of Syria. But still, I pray for peace.Respectfully,C.
