    Fleas spend most of their time on the rear end of the dog (or cat). If there’s one flea on a critter you’ll most likely find it by pushing the hair backwards to observe the skin over the base of the tail/lower back. If you don’t see a flea, look for tiny black grains that look like pepper. That’s flea dirt (doo).
