    To trout: I was not aware that Christians made up 10% of the population in Syria until you enlightened me. The estimate in Egypt is 5 to 20% which really makes me wonder wt

    This guy is the ultimate slow learner. Dumber than Bush, and I didn’t think that was possible..

    It’s hilarious reading the conservatives here complaining (a) that Obama should have done something in Syria, and (b) that those horrible libs want to invade Syria. I’m sure glad you know what YOU would have done. Probably spend money and lives that aren’t yours to intervene in a hopeless quagmire. So, folks, which side should we be supporting in Syria? Iran or Al Qaeda?

    None of those wishes that end horribly are his!

    I’m sure he wishes they would just quit killing themselves.They are joint signees with the rest of the world that agreed to never use chemical warfare to begin with.

    That’s the problem, damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.

    I hope he will confer with congress at least, at best I hope he listens to the general who pointed out;

    Emotion is never a reason to go to war. Never get involved in another country’s Civil wars.Never go to war on “what if’s”. maybe not word for word, and I didn’t catch his name.

    Your right, Instead of people being murdered by the evil syrian army they can instead be collateral damage, your home collateral damage of course, your children. Well you can bet that is some tragic collateral damage.

    “What I don’t understand is why those who control the narrow strip of land west of the Jordan want to install a Syrian government whose main pre-occupation is removing all infidels from the Arabian peninsula, ESPECIALLY the infidels in that narrow strip west of the Jordan.”Without Assad, the Shia/Alawites & the Sunnis will still be (mostly) focused on killing one another. I suspect some Levantines would be quite happy if all their Muslim neighbors turn on one another. Iraq is no longer a regional threat. I think it’s worth noting that Syria is not part of the Arabian Peninsula & has a distinct culture & history.

    “done something besides talking Syria to death then maybe 10s of thousands of HUMAN BEINGS would be alive today in Syria instead of rotting in the ground!”Care to explain how Syria would have been different from Iraq?

    If Syria’s neighbors were willing to get involved, I’d support them. You’d think they would be more worried about chemical weapons in their neighborhood.

    “It’s all Dem Libs that are running around and bumping into each other.”While conservatives are united in one thing: their opposition to whatever Obama wants. I see a lot of potential candidates for 2016 ducking the question of what course we should take.
