I remember a story of a college student given a bible from his mother and father as a gift. Whenever the student called home to ask for money, they’d always tell him “The answers are in Ecclesiastes 7:12”. He shrugged it off several times thinking his parents were just being cheap, but when he finally opened the book to that page, several $100 bills fell out. I thought it was a nice story.

In addition to the lessons in the Bible, Herb could also learn the lesson of the “time value of money”.

Does this include the act of helping refugees, orphans, and widows?
