Maybe minding her business isn’t an option. Hoarding can be a serious psychological problem, like alcoholism. If they live in the same house, it can be dangerous for her. Believe me, I know. I have an adult child who is a hoarder, and the kid just cannot emotionally divest from the objects. Also, obsessive-compulsive collecting can be financially devastating. Does one really need every single edition of the Star Wars series, including both DVDs and audio recordings? How much does that set one back?
