There was a Jamaican national team soccer player, 35 yrs old, who just got suspended for PED. The drub was a type of steroid commonly used in society when trying to recover from injuries. Now being at the end of his career and having played a lot of games recently it would make sense that his body is falling apart somewhat. But now he’s screwed because some doc was trying to help him heal.~I’m not a supporter of doping and know it’s rampant in most sports, especially football and baseball, but I think we can go too far at times. It’s one thing to pull the Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire thing where you gain seemingly 100lbs of muscle over a few months and for those who use it regularly without need. It’s another if a person has a legit injury and is simply in recovery where it’s needed and stops afterward, especially when it’s legally prescribed by a doctor and the player may not be aware of what is contained in what is being prescribed let alone if there is a ban against it.~Just saying.
