    the strip interests me for historical and stylistic reasons — though even more because it reminds of my grandparents — but often there is so much crammed into the selections that it is not possible for me to read even with enlargement

    Might it be possible to run some actual strips from Katzenjammer (spelling?) Kids, Rarebit, or others, or are they still copyright protected through publishers’ extensions? I have read a scant few strips of some very old comics but have only heard a tad about others like the K Kids. Of course, there is also the problem that some strips back then would be offensive for very reasonable reasons in today’s world so there would be a selection problem involved.

    Never-the-less this is a fascinating idea for a comic strip.
