GA has always been slow moving, BUT at one time there was some depth to the story lines. Old time readers felt as though the characters were relatable. Currently GA is merely a series of set ups for “corny” jokes.GA was originally built on the characters, not jokes.
Well, I still look forward to the Sunday panels. Fractured Bible stories, Joel and Rufus and, last week, something tasty from Corky and Terry! I just wish I could look forward to the daily strips!.I wish Jim could capture the imagination as he did with the Old Comics Retirement Home!.Wouldn’t it be a gas if Guido looked like Smokey Stover?
I’m enjoying the strip. I wish Sac Bee would run it. I used to read it in The Eugene Register-Guard. It was slow moving then, too, but it was still fun to read.
