I thought I remembered Maria having a pet goldfish at one point, or is she aiming for something in the mammal category this time?
I’m not a fan of animals, but what did a little animal to Maria’s mother to let her have one?, that hse begins with a stone pet… or a chia pet (=P)
Mom’s need to remember that THEY will be doing what the child gets tired of. Most pets require a lot of care. I don’t have one now because I hope to travel at least one month out of the year.
Like rising your new sibling of course. When your mom has it.
Maybe the pet is supposed to distract from the sibling, until he/she has had enough time to learn how to resist Maria’s machinations.
