The first time I went back to school, I took two night classes. It was a stressful experience, but mostly because one of the teachers was way, way too demanding. The second time I went back to school, it was online. This particular online school requires no homework and no required class attendance. You just have to take tests (which are based on video lectures, not the textbook), which have 999 attempts, so I kept taking it until I got a perfect score. Some online schools are difficult, but this one sure wasn’t! I obtained my certificate, and really learned something.
I went to college because that was what people are supposed to do after high school. Had a lot of fun but didn’t learn much. Ten years after graduating, I got interested in something else and decided to check it out at the local junior college. To my amazement, I got straight As and learned a lot. College is a whole lot different, and way better, when you’re an adult and actually interested in learning something.
I feel the same way about leaving school. I have a BS, a doctorate, and I am on year two of post-doctoral studies considering a fellowship rather than actual work.

I hated school growing up but I went back because I was sick of dead end jobs that I hated. These days, you almost have to have a degree.
