Some of them really love to show. Breaks their heart to retire them. Winners are dogs who love to show. Dogs who hate to show are no fun for their people to show, either. I have one of each – no point in trying to show a dog that hates it.
Ironic that there are categories for working dogs when those show dogs rarely, if ever, actually engage in the type of “working” the standards were intended to encourage.
