The hydrant would be better labeled as USA. Mr.Snowden’s ongoing releases of information may be harmful to our nation as a whole. I hope our security agencies are changing passwords and protocols rapidly if not already done.Respectfully,C.
Whoops; now the right are starting to disown him. Darn, not a hero after-all? But hey, good news though: they can still bash their president with it. Win-win either way for them.
In the “Pentagon Papers” Ellsberg released documents sent to the private Rand Corporation (another contractor), but the court ruled that the clasifying the documents “secret” was over-classification of materials that represented no threat to security with their publiication. NIxon first thought it was great, as embarrassed Johnson, but Kissinger adivsised it ditn’t make them smell too good either. Thus the prosecution of Ellseberg, that failed.
Snowden on the other hand, working for another goverment contractor, took the job with the intent of finding, and releasing classified materials that COULD INDEED jeopardize security, and ongioing covert and overt operations conducted overseas, and at home, as part of defense of the nation. HIs intent was to commit treason, and so he took off for Hong Kong and non-extraditiion, before taking his highly public actions.
No, he’s not out to pee on the administration or the “Washington establishment”, but the entire nation. He’s more a Jonathan Pollard, not a hero.

Usually RA annoys me. I thought this one was OK until I realized he might not be showing how DC should be treated.
