We know Fred too well: we all expected he’d take the sausages but needed to prove to us he could resist temptation. He’s not happy about making the right decision.
He remembers what happened the last time he gave in to temptation. But what I don’t understand is why they leave the sausages out instead of refrigerating them and then expecting Fred not to touch them.
