That’s understandable. Dr. Seuss (Ted Geisel) started his career in 1925, long before becoming an author of his most popular children’s books. For a collection of his early writings and cartoons, see THE TOUGH COUGHS AS HE PLOUGHS THE DOUGH. .Geisel drew cartoon advertisements for Flit insecticide, and “Quick, Henry! The Flit!” became a catchphrase all across America. [from the book’s dust cover].You can bet most of the comic artists in GoComics are aware the history of comics and have their personal favorites among the old-timers. My favorite is George Herriman (Krazy Kat) and Bill Holman (Smokey Stover, et al).
