How do you get rid of drunk driving? Based on your logic, you get rid of the alcohol. That doesn’t work. It has been tried before in this country, and all it did was make those who wanted to drink to become criminals, and get their alcohol by bootlegging. Taking guns away also will not work. The criminals will get their guns one way or another. The difference is that if only criminals have guns, nobody can defend themselves.
I do not know where you came up with the statement about Australia but the crime rate went UP ! When Texas passed the CCl laws the crime rate went DOWN ! This is true in every state that has passed CCLs. These are facts that can be Googled.

Actually most criminals like gun control laws because they don’t acquire their guns legally anyway, and it prevents their victims from being able to defend themselves.
I hate to burst your bubble, but getting rid of guns has never been shown to work anywhere except, possibly, in Nazi Germany, where they were taken away from the Jews. It worked for the Nazis, but not so well for the Jews.
