Most Americans wouldn’t know liberty if it bit them on the ass. Oh wait, I guess it has.

No one seems to be under the presumption this has been occurring since the beginning of government in some form or manner. I do not enjoy the Government knowing my business, but realize especially in today’s government it can be expected. We are just to ignore it and not say anything one way or another. You can see that with the attitude of the media/press and the Administration. It appears the cries from those who believe in the Constitution are finely being heard once again, but politics seem to be construed as the reason behind it. If we could unite instead of divide, it might be possible to get government in check.

It is thier right to do so. Do you not like the protections offered by our Constituion or are you just unaware of them? Oh wait I see you are one of those “I support my country no matter what they do” eh? Nice attitude to have because people in power never ever abuse it do they?

A few weeks back a British friend was telling me a chat he had had on-line on his forum. Something about public holidays. So this Portuguese dude brings up that Portugal has 2 public holidays to celebrate their freedom (I’m guessing 25th April & 5th October). Then some American replied that in the USA they celebrate freedom every day.Cue in laughter from my friend and me; had to admit, it was a funny come-back which just makes Europeans roll their eyes at typical American hubris but we’re actually amused.

Except you don’t really have that freedom, do you?

If we could only get our government to use this information to protect us instead of trying to manipulate and intimidate us it we would have no problem with all this spying!

If I were a billionaire member of the one percent like the Koch brothers I would be starting to get worried about now and would definitely be wanting my government to be listening in on the rest of us. America is already a plutocracy and it won’t be too many years before a handful of oligarchs on the Forbes list run things.
