I don’t think “Moon Maid” is a clone. Somehow Dr Ghote and Dr. Sail got hold of another woman from the moon, did plastic surgery on her and have brainwashed her to make her believe she is Mysta. Of course that’s my 5 cents worth.

Dr Sail is bringing his “hired Goon”, will Diet Smith be seriously hurt?

yep, obviously not a clone…if he COULD do that, why all the secrecy? Why the goon? He’d be a legit billionaire and could buy a FLEET of space coupes….

Happy Solstice to you all!Diet, beware, Dr Sail is bringing his monster Bardoll- maybe he meant him-it when he talked of “previous research”. Why can’t Mysta be a clone with implanted memories?

I’ve a sneaking suspicion that Smith will not be alone. I think he and Tracy have a trap set up for him.

My, my. That thug (a.k.a. Bardoll) is really big! Too bad Punjab couldn’t stick around for the showdown (or could he?). Whether Stim Sail speaks truth or with a crooked tongue is not obvious—though I think “Moon Maid” is some kind of clone or the like. But it is clear that that thug is not just coming along for the ride. I hope Diet Smith has made arrangements for his security!

And could Ghote and/or Sail have had something to do with the desertion of the moon colony?

Certainly is interesting. But I’m really curious – what’s with the broken globe on the ground next to Bardoll? Is it an omen?

i can honestly say that this story has almost no suspense for me… every time it starts getting up a head of steam, it swerves into the sidestory and derails any kind of interest that the main one has garnered

i think i need to apologise to you ray (yes i know… SHOCKER!! lol) but i didnt get my point across the way i would have liked to (i am typing my replies at work and they are shipping a LOT of stuff out of this building today, so i had to stop in the middle of posting, and pick up again.. losing my trian of thought in the process… damn Sony Trade Show people! lol) i didnt mean that the story ITSELF wasnt interesting. in fact, i DO like it and it’s a fun read… however, theres too many “intertwining subplots” running thru it and it tends to change the focus on the strip on an almost daily basis

i’m not slamming mike’s abilities as a writer.. on the contrary… IF they manage to pull this whole thing off AND make it believeable, then he has done a REMARKABLE job! and i know that sparkle, etc all tie into the story.. but what i meant by “building up a head of steam, then swerving into the sidestory and derailing” the whole thing is that they “get on a roll” with the action etc, then suddenly the next day (or so) they switch scenes out of the blue and it kinda throws a monkey wrench into the whole thing.

i HOPE that makes sense… again, not sure if i worded it correctly to get my thought down onto the “page”.

the BEST analogy i can make is this… imagine watching a soap opera on one channel, then in the middle of the show just when you get “into it” and are waiting on “the big reveal”.. someone comes in and changes the channel to another soap opera. its almost like a shock to the system kind of thing.. ya know?

Yes. That’s a believable scenario. Or maybe one of the Moon people deserted when the others migrated. She came into contact with Dr Sail somehow and he wiped her memories and brainwashed her into believing she is Mysta.

Doesn’t anyone else here read BOOKS? (A show of hands will do – thank you.)Forget soap operas, novels are filled with sub-plots. I’m currently reading one with about five sub-plots, all of which are spun off of (and contribute to resolving) the main plot.

I think I can see where tsull2121 is coming from, whether we agree or not. Most of the suspense to date has been in the “is she or isn’t she” department. And while withholding that information from us is good for suspense, it has its limits.

And for some of us, that limit has been reached. In particular, too many “theories” as to who Mysta is, is starting to get in the way of the story.

So, yes, I have taken a break from reading the comments.

For those who say, it’s good enough that this person thinks she is the real Mysta, some second thoughts.

Throughout history, there have been those who thought they were someone they were not. Whether it be Hitler, Napoleon, Mohammed, or even Jesus Christ (for heaven’s sake), these people are usually not sympathetic.

More often than not, they are pathetic and dangerous.

Which seems to be the road this Mysta is traveling.

Don’t get me wrong: I still want this to be the real Mysta.

Which is why I think the time has come for Mike and Joe to finally tip their hands and show their cards.

I just read on Bing that this weekend will be a “Supermoon” – when the moon is as close as it ever comes to Earth. I wonder if Mike and Joe are timing this Moon Maid story with that fact in mind?

Subplots are an important part of what makes a novel great and a movie a classic. I hope the bored and confused crowd never reads Lord of the Rings or watches The Godfather, because they’ll be in way over their heads.

I used to believe in the clone theory, now I think she’s an imposter with implanted memories and facial plastic surgery (I base this mainly on Honeymoon’s reaction to meeting her… I’m sure Honey would remember her Mother’s touch, the way she hugged, or even smelled, the way her attitude changed after meeting MM 2.0 says it all… NOT MM 1)

……so bardoll’s big….you would assume Diet has armed security, and size doesn’t matter much when you’re several yards away from a pointed gun. I still can’t figure why on earth Sail and Co. have gone to all this trouble, though…what could possibly be worth it, really?
