Just today I was talking to a coworker about suicide squirrels who go out with a bang. Once found a very surprised, very shocked — and very dead — squirrel at the base of a telephone pole. He had just shorted out the transformer at the top of that pole and killed the power to the whole neighborhood along with himself.
