Top marks to Shika for paying attention. I was indeed on the water in my kayak for the first time this year. Caught a really nice crappie, too. About 14" long. The bad news? For the first time ever I REALLY thought I was going to spend the night out on the river. We paddled 4 1/2 miles up the John Day River from its mouth at the Columbia River. Coming back the winds were so ferocious I spent 20 minutes paddling without moving one foot. Everyone was exhausted by the time we got back. Akenta, sorry I wasn’t available to fill in for you on Saturday.
We were out on Watson Lake here in our kayaks, and we had to battle a wind like that. We had to paddle around a point, and like you said, it was like standing still. The fish sounds
good morning and happy monday locos. Today Spain is observing their holidays yesterday (Lunes siguiente Día de la Región de Murcia and Lunes siguiente Día de la Rioja). Australia (except Western Australia) is celebrating the Queen’s birthday. China has the Dragon Boat Festival. Columbia is observing Sagrado Corazón. Portugal has Dia de Portugal. And if this isn’t enough the Celtic Tree Month of Oak begins today.
It’s been a lousy day ere, but I was indoors all day anyway, so I guess it doesn’t matter. Except that at the end of my seminar, I had to travel two hours for an errand and I hated walking in the rain.
Like usual I arrive when everyone else retires. We are still working on our downstairs bathroom remodel and are having a tough time agreeing on the floor. I like Emperador Light Marble and LilG likes Copper Slate.

Good evening all! Rainy gloomy day out east, but I was working for most of it, so it is ok.

Well, the fish may sound crappy, but that recipe sounds GRITS, so it even’s out.
