I’m pretty sure he’s not talking about Emma Peel and Mr. Steed. (I recently saw Diana RIgg in a “Doctor Who” episode. How did she get so old? Oh, right; it’s been 50 years.)

It’s the recent Movie featuring the “American Marvel Comics Avengers” the roster includes:

    Hulk – Big, Green, Mean

Thor – Tall, Handsom Norse Hunk with a BIG Hammer

Captain America – WWII Icon whose been “on Ice” for a few decades

Black Widow – Russian Expat, Former Spy now on OUR side

Hawkeye – Master Archer and tactician

and, of course Iron Man – Genius Inventor, Billionaire, Schmuck-about-town.

Funny that was my reaction to that movie too. I found there was no story. Thor movie was just bad and there’s nothing that get you except his good look and it is not enough. They went and base the ensemble movie on the weakest personna and background. In all the Thor references out there. I preferred the one in Stargate, at least it was sympathic.

I like Captain America and the first Iron Man movies but…the rest is bof! Maybe it’s overdose of heroes. With 2 or 3 more to go, Can it be enough super heroes for this decade? Can we have something more original? What do you think?

So our heroine, Sophie saves the day with that “stomach in her eyes, feed me, I’m so cute” look. Doug should take a few hints.

I totally agree. Grew up with comic books my whole life and have been excited watching all the new Marvel movies. Does not at all bother me if they deviate from the comics – most of them try to stick to form – but as long as the artist (i.e. Stan Lee) approves of the story line, then it’s good for me! ;) The only issue I have is when we have 3 and 4 movies of the SAME character with DIFFERENT actors playing the part (Batman/Spiderman/Superman). The LEAST they can do is keep the main person consistant!

Am I the only one who didn’t like the Captain America movie? (no offense to those who did, I just found it less than satisifiying).

As for The Avengers movie, as superhero movies go, it wasn’t bad.
