Could Mr. Thompson have been making a reference to “John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt?” The line is usually sung as “His name is my name too” but in my guitar books with children’s music, I’ve also seen it as “That’s my name too.”
That might not be the reference - even if she’s four, Alice is likely old enough to be annoyed that Viola mangled her name - but I have to wonder if it’s indeed a song reference. :)
