Rena: Want to go for drinks after work?
Val: Wish I could but the family's expecting me.
Val: I can't lead the fancy-free single life YOU get to lead...
Rena: Sigh...
I live (alone) in a small college town. we don’t have a Whole Foods here. I am sooooo bored with both cooking for one and TV dinners. What I need is a man who cooks! (and does the dishes afterwards) (and then goes home, haha).
Sometimes I think about changes I’d make in eating and how to arrange the apartment and stuff if I lived alone but I would be so lonely, even with the internet and my friends.
I love to cook…but cooking for 1 is no fun so i cook for 4 and have lots of leftovers to freeze for another day. Being alone really doesn’t mean your lonely!!!!
Having been married, widowed, and re-married, I can say that being single is over-rated. Yes, it is great to be able to do whatever you want to do whenever you want, but it is better to have the company of my wife and daughter. A man needs someone to be responsible for, to care for, and just be with. Without a wife and children, a man tends just to be an overgrown boy. It is meeting the responsibilities of being a good husband and father does one truly becomes a man.
Do my own cooking. Cooked for my mom (RIP) in her final years. Also my own laundry, cleaning, et cetera et cetera. Sometimes feel that I’d like to have someone…………… but I do like peace and quiet.
