Dr. Carson is a brilliant man who has developed techniques that have saved countless lives of all political, racial, sexual, and cultural persuasions.He is also very much rooted in his religious foundations.It would be sad if we were to set aside all of the good he has done in the face of racism and religious discrimination simply because he did what so many of us enjoy doing in GC each day.He stated his opinion.I found some of his comments to be painful to hear. Some of what is written in GC is also painful to read. However, as long as the authors of comments are not calling for killing people, or using vulgarities, or other viciously cruel writings, I won’t flag them. I’m not going to flag Dr. Carson, and if I have a heart attack near his hospital, I would feel safe under his care. I know that gays and people who have had abortions will also be safe under his care. His love of God may have made him feel a duty to say what he said, but that same love will make him do everything he can to save every life that comes to him.Respectfully,C.
