    Your generosity is quite appreciated, I am sure. Maybe your wife will see the logic of free song books if you keep encouraging her and telling her everyone will have a challenge that can be quite empowering for them. BTW since your work is for the church, you should be taking all those supplies off your taxes.

    So sorry, but I think you needed to set some limits. As a Christian myself, I’m saddened that another Christian would think it’s all right to take advantage of you like that.

    Good for you for finally putting your foot down. Sounds like all your wife needed was better information on the cost. Typically, the church will pick up the cost of a braille songbook. If it’s for the choir, she should know several days (if not weeks) in advance, and if it’s for congregational singing, I’m sure the pastor would be willing to tell her his hymn choices on Monday or Tuesday.
