    There are indeed nuts in all the “majors” around the world,and a little comparison of “orthodox and Hasidic”, as well as “evangelical” and “Shia vs Sunni” doesn’t eliminate any of them from the “crazies pool”.

    A recent article on “forced/arranged” marriage is jus another also explores the brutality and insanity of these “cultures” , oddly enough dominated by men who claim “God is on our side”, just like "Gott mit Uns’.

    My Muslim friends are aghast and appalled by the violence perpetrated by these individuals. While I abhor the Westboro group’s behavior, and I agree with the concept that every religion has its lunatic fringe, this analogy fails. Hhile the Westboro group does reprehensible things like picketing funerals, they have not, to date, engaged in physical violence.

    All three religions from the middleast are inherently violent, simply because at their core they all say, only their relgion is the correct one and everyone else is evil.

    Its just that the Jews and the Christians don’t usually commit “terrorism” because they have become powerful enough to kill people “legally”.

    If he’s a religious fundamentalist, then he’s probably a right-winger. That certainly wouldn’t mean he’d vote for a Republican, though, because he’d be rejected for not being of the correct religion.

That’s an acceptable number to you, is it? Especially since the church’s main response has been to shuffle them around and cover up their “actions”? (I see you decided to use the word “actions” instead of “molestations”…sounds better, doesn’t it?)

    When you have any evidence that evolution is driven by anything other than natural forces, get back to me.

    You are arguing “the God of the Gaps.” If points A, E, I, M, Q, U, and Y all line up pointing to Z, you say “There are too many gaps. You’ve shown nothing.” Then when C, G, G, K, O, S, and W are found you say " “There are still too many gaps. You’ve shown nothing.” If we have A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z, you say "What about the gap between A and B? “What about the gap between B and C? Those can only be filled by God.”

    “Atheism is no different.”Except for the fact that atheism isn’t a religion, unless you’re one of those people who think baldness is a hair color, or good health is a disease. Remember, we’re all atheists…we all don’t believe in thousands of gods. I just believe in one less than a religious fundamentalist. Percentagewise, that’s nothing.

    “I have not seen any Muslims coming forward to condemn the actions of their radical members.”I’ve seen more than one article of American Muslims (and American Chechens) doing just that in regards to the Boston bombers, Coraryan…including such statements from their family members.
