Lots of people are irritated by fluorescent lights – it has to do the the 60hz flicker. For most people, that’s not perceptible, but for some it is – back not so many years ago, when most basic CRT monitors also used a 60hz refresh rate, I found the flicker very irritating, even though fluorescent light flicker is noticable but isn’t really bothersome to me. As far as being denied by the “green community”, that’s news to me – more an issue that people who don’t experience it don’t believe it.

A lady in my office always has blooshot eyes from the lighting…the minute she goes out for lunch they clear up…

I never heard of this. It must be like getting a headache when you’re near people who wear perfume.

I detest that Light. It might be the flickering; might be the colour.
