June: Ralph, we've got a problem... I have to visit my sister Dot tomorrow... The kids will be at school and you'll be at work... Ralph: Yeah... So what's the problem? June: Oogie's never been left alone before! She might be lonely! Ralph: Honeybunch, let's not lose sight of the fact that Oogie is a cat! June: All I'm asking you to do is take one little day off work!

She is delusional. Take the cat with you if it means so much to you. Asking the only source of income to jeopardize that is just stupid.
