    Hmph. There’s two feet of snow on our garden, with 30% to 70% probability of freezing rain and snow from today through Tuesday. And a huge x-ray event occurred on the sun recently which could create auarora as far south as northen California, with the possibility of interrupted radio communcations.

    I swear, sometimes it seemed the rabbits and squirels mut be watching as I planted spring bulbs (they seemed to wait only that long to go after them).

    Sometimes you see Hasenpfeffer half-anglicized to “Hassenpfeffer”, under the mistaken belief that the “ss” is from an esset (the german beta character used for double s). Not so. Hase, “hare”., has the plural Hasen. The old word Hasenpfeffer has more of a connotation of “bunny with pepper”.
