And that, folks, is how they make “Jelly Bellies” out there at the plant in Fairfield.…Tune in next time when we talk about how they make beer next door at the Anheiser-Busch Brewery.

What is this obsession with chickens, U.S.?

Morty, chickens often represent fear or a cowardly nature on someones part. Lay an egg implies they failed at an attempted tast. In this cartoon the jellybean is miniscule compared to the size of a normal egg, meaning the senate has done nothing for a long time (snoozing ZZZZZZ). Then when it suddenly wakes up and comes back to life it does next to nothing (lay a jellybean instead of a normal size egg). Lots of symbolism and “analogies” used here.

Radish said, about 7 hours ago…“The Reagan admin started the modern deficit spending. How do you like them jelly beans?”-The Constitution puts spending bills as the responsibility of the House of Congress. Ronald Reagan had a Democratic controlled House for all 8 years of his term.Reagan had a Democratic controlled Senate for almost 3 of those years.-The Democrats proposed deals of Reagan agreeing to higher taxes, which he did, and CUTS IN SPENDING BY THE DEMS….an agreement that gave Americans higher taxes but NO CUTS IN SPENDING.-How do you like them RECORDED FACTS, Jellybean?
