Yes, it’s definitely clip art. Or a deliberately obvious swipe. She never changes her expression, the set of her head, or the position of her hand. It’s all obvious cut and paste of the same image, with minimal alterations as needed.

He’s never seen his parents without their human disguises. Underneath that skin she’s a horrible, palpitating limb-ripping Zilchtron.

Say what you will, Leopold, but Mommy knows how to take care of her little green mutant Buttercup! Tickle, tickle!

It looks like she should be holding a cigerette. maybe mark got rid of it because he himself quit smoking. Happened to Capp

Now I’m wondering about Leopold’s father.

I cannot look at today’s strip without giggling. For some reason, this one really gets me.

“Going to treat her badly”; so, he’s like most kids.

Gotta love it.

She quit smoking but cannot find a classy place to put her hand !

Mom reminds me of a mannequin in a 1950’s department store.

No matter how old you are, you never stop being mommy’s little mutant.

Yeah but with being snide and antagonistic makes him look unfavorable. Has it ever been said why Leopold is that way?

I think she’s hiding a blood stain on her collar, or maybe just holding it from wanting to flip up, you can tell she has class!

I would imagine that she is the ultimate opposite of Leopold, therefore, she was created to look like the “perfect mother/wife/woman” that was idealized in the 1950s and 60s. I noticed that the arm/hand was up in all frames in which she appears. Love that this is his mom, though. It just seems to work. Todays had us laughing really hard! Hope to see more of mom in the future.

I figure she has one hand up to prevent from being garotted
