Nonpartisan news? You don’t think they (like everyone else) presents only the news that advances their agenda and slant? I listen to PBS radio sometimes. Certainly they’re biased. That’s fine, but I would just as soon not have to support it. Just as others would not wish to support Fox News.

Love the strip but I wish the artist would do more new ones. Reruns may be nice but I want fresh stuff. Of course what’s interesting is the old stuff is still funny……

The profits from “Tickle Me Elmo” dolls alone could fund the entire operation.

Put the cat down already. Please. I’ll do it for you if you can’t.Just nod now and he’ll wonder what that metal thing is for.

Eating the fritters might be awkward but you’ll be free. At long last.

Not back to the Muppet storyline again… it went on for too long the first time.

This got me thinking about Jim Henson’s creations. :-) Good memories. I always thought he called them muppets, because it was like puppet, possibly fused w/ marionette. And it just sounds cute. Anyone know for real?

Nothing can be found in the US Constitution that authorizes government to establish public broadcasting or use tax money to fund it; no more than government is authorized to make “public churches” or use taxpayer money to finance those.

PBS is not just news. Their funding goes to many great, educational shows and documentaries. And as for the Muppets, I do not think that PBS gets the lion’s share of the money stemming from Muppet toys, Sesame Street, etc. I would think (in the spirit of Free Enterprise) the family of Jim Henson and whatever stock holders are involved receive the majority of those funds.

There’s a song in there somewhere… or a cartoon series. Or a TV series. Or did we already get at least one of those?
