I see the cyclist/driver divide exists elsewhere other than the U.K. Hmm. I found riding in France, Germany, Austria, Netherlands & Belgium an absolute pleasure. Even Paris was a whizz. In the U.K. I don’t venture out on a bike unless fully lit up and with neon viz jacket, even if only down to the café and back.
Conflicts between driver / cyclist / pedestrian are in inverse proportion to the cycling facilities available in each country.
WTF does gun control have to do with this you troll? Cyclists have the LEGAL right to be on the roads. If more people were actually shown the laws, and PROPERLY trained in driving, we’d have fewer accidents. Based on the driving I see, current driver training is a waste of money.
’And please give us examples of they “politicize everything.”’
Do you ever provide examples or sources for your statements? I’ve asked these of you repeatedly and remain disappointed. Want examples of these evasions?
Scott, it’s hard to tell sometimes, but I hope you were being sarcastic about drivers obeying the traffic laws. I can sit on my porch and watch drivers run the stop sign on my corner. I have counted and seven out of ten drivers run the stop sign, some without even slowing down.
Yes, some cyclists are “arrogant” , which when your vehicle is 4,000 pounds lighter than your “opponent”, isn’t smart. At the same time, my son-in-law was hit while in a bike lane, by a gal (83 years old) who drove right into him, and shouldn’t have had license to drive an electric scooter, let alone a Buick.
The real issue, on cars, bikes, and guns, is that the U.S. will let anyone “drive” without licensing and regulations that apply in most countries, where all three potential death threats are greatly reduced.

I’m really looking for the data on the U.N. question.

I’ll ignore the incorrect English as possibly due to a typo and that you meant a possessive “your”; but I remain puzzled by which statement you want me to “back” up?

Typical bicyclist: “I am a vehicle! Unless it’s to my advantage to act like a pedestrian.”

It’s even worse when you hit a moose in the middle of traffic in downtown Toronto. The American tourists just go crazy. They applaud and throw money.
