Well, that was before you agreed to work for the country under a Democratic president. -Unpardonable sin. Didn’t you learn anything from Jon Huntsman or Judd Gregg?

John McCain used to claim he was a maverick. Now he’s just the Senate’s version of the old man hollering “Get off my lawn!”

Apologies if I’ve offended the Senator’s daughter. Loved her book. Maybe she’s the one who should be in politics.

McCain was never the “maverick” people claimed, and even he disclaimed the title. What he was, was a man driven by rage and vindictiveness. When he stood up against Bush, it was because he was mad at Bush’s treatment of him during their presidential race. Now he is just mad at Obama for beating him. He’ll say anything that fits his anger. In truth, he’s always had a rage problem (and he even refers to it in his book), no doubt exacerbated by his wartime experiences (PTSD is likely), but there’s no evidence he has tried to do anything about it.

And anyone who thinks the constitution shouldn’t apply to women, and that the first amendment ONLY guarantees the right to criticize the government but no other free speech, shouldn’t be on the supreme court. And besides, it’s John McCain who prefers dictators to democracy, not Hagel (viz. Libya, Syria, Egypt.)

Don’t worry. They only kill their masters. One can only hope.

McCain just wants Hagel to admit he was wrong about the Iraq war… which he’s not.
