GRITS it is to be retired, and not having to worry about cramming so much into Saturday and Sunday.

good morning and happy tuesday locos. I accidentally closed this window before saving and lost all the holidays we had to celebrate. Let’s see if I can remember them all. First, I thanked Shika about the update on Family Day. yesterday it was only celebrated in British Columbia, next Monday, 3 other Providences. It’s also the 3rd day of the Chinese New Year so the party can continue. Also, I wanted to wish Mr. Lincoln a happy birthday. He is turning a young 204 today. Finally, it’s Mardis Grove/Shrove Tuesday. Last day before Lent. Let’s see who can make it through all these celebrations.

Akenta deserves a raise JFri! And she’s only been the official score keeper, so to speak, for a little while. She’s doing a MARVELOUS job!

I guess it is Lincoln’s official birthday. 204 today, Akenta? It seems like only yesterday! :-D

It is also the day that work begins to replace our old furnace.

Akenta, I’m celebrating Pancake Tuesday by going to a pancake dinner at our church. Yum! I hope they serve real maple syrup. A Canadian twist on Shrove Tuesday).It is Ash Wednesday tomorrow. Not so much a celebration, but as the beginning of Lent, a day I will mark.When I was in New Orleans in 2009, it happened to be Mardi Gras. That’s quite different than how our church marks the day (blush).

I haven’t seen the movie Dry, but I hear it is good.

Hector and Rayana are officially laughing together? That sounds serious!!

JFri, and marg, I think you two need to start a GRITS business together. It’s a GRITS way to stat the day.

cleo, a year or so ago, someone said they would only eat Elderberry syrup and not Maple Syrup. I do not remember having a chokecherry syrup discussion with you though.I’ve never tasted it. What is is like?

Drip, drip, drip! If the syrup is good, it drips, drips, drips, slowly, very slowly! Doesn’t matter what flavor it is! Just like ketchup, the slower the better! Drip, drip, drip!(Do I know what I am talking about? HE!! NO! Do I ever, HE!! NO!)
