    Mole to the rescue!

Is anyone else seeing the comics in a very weird way?

I wonder if Mole is going to take a bullet for Toad?

Pouch can’t be much of a businessman… who is going to buy balloons on a freezing winter’s night??

Mole is the sweetest character ever. I hope he continues to play a big role in this series.

If you didn’t have a wrist wizard, I suppose that scanner would be the next best thing. It’s no surprise finding one on Pouch.

Looks like Pouch lost his grip on his balloons when Mole grabbed him- they’re not in his hand in the last panel.

Mole is what the bad guy deserves, but I hope Tracy gets there first because otherwise, Mole might have to go to prison and no one wants that! But whoever gets there first, I hope they get there soon!

Go, Mole, go!Mole’s intentions for Sweatbox may not be altogether legal, but sometimes (at least in fiction) we may prefer justice. There have been countless movies (think Charles Bronson), TV shows (current Person of Interest; some 20+ years back, Dark Justice; in the mid-80s, The Equalizer), and novels built around this theme….

are these marshes anywhere near b.o. and gertie’s place, which now… in my mind.. is the infamous site of poor measles’ untimely demise? wonder if anyone here can come up with a list of the “fictional landmarks” in tracy’s city? theres the lagoon with the replica ships of columbus, mole’s underground hotel, now theres the baux vault and the marshes. anyone got more to add?

I want to see the rest of the front end of Mole’s truck. I owned a 1947 International KB-1, and the Molemobile looks like a KB-1 had mated with a REO.

    1949 REO: http://www.curbsideclassic.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/05/CC-138-009-800.jpg

Pouch was the villain in the first Dick Tracy storyline I remember reading, way back in the early 70s! I’m pretty sure Mole made an appearance in that episode as well. He was still on the wrong side of the law, back then.

@BassmanBob – It was great to see you posting yesterday. I downloaded your entire Magpie story, but can’t find where these two installments go, since I didn’t save the dates the old ones were posted. I downloaded yesterday’s post. Where does it go in the story?

Love Pouch! As creepy as he is, he’s a great way to move along the action. How else would Mole know where to go?

Did I mention how much I’ve enjoyed this story?

I’m hoping Pouch decides to lend a hand, for, although he was once a hired killer (But got away with it), I have to think he’d not let a child die in this way. And as I recall it, he did have a slight moral streak.

This pertains to prior Mole/Pouch history— who planted the bomb that killed Molene? I haven’t gotten up to early 70’s reprints via SPEC Productions…but I always thought Pouch was the culprit.

The story of Molene does give me some questions though. What about her parents? Are they still alive? I haven’t read her story, so I don’t know the back story, does anyone else know? Also, being the granddaughter of Mole, means he must have had a wife, or at least a girlfriend. Who was she? I will assume she is dead since he is taking an interest in Rose Spencer.

Does Dick Tracy not know that most of the police scanners now use a different encryption so the media (and citizens) can’t find out what their law enforcement is doing?
