Filibuster reform. Right. If you throw salt on a senator, will it make them shrivel up and go away?Neighbors, we deserve better legislators, but it is up to us to find the right people to send. At the very least, write to these people and tell them what you think. Be polite, but you can politely tell someone how disappointed you are with them.Respectfully,C.

Why not get rid of it altogether? If the GOP wants it so bad they can reinstitute it if they ever take the Senate back.

It’s pretty obvious that the GOP was determined to prevent as much of Obama’s agenda as possible. They had no intention of negotiating with the idea that if they couldn’t stop a bill, at least they could try to mitigate the harmful effects.

I thought they still had to stand there and speak as long as they could. And not drink much liquid. That would surely limit the filibuster. It is a way to sit back and do nothing for the people as is .

KIng; While I too think “Blazing Saddles” was a great movie, another Brooks work poking hypocrisy with a pitchfork, the “badges” line was originally from “Treasure of the Sierra Madre” with Bogart.
