Once, when we had roast beef, I asked my father why was there string around it. He said it was part of the lasso.
Just trot out the cow and we’ll eat it raw!
One of the original cooks at my favorite Japanese restaurant used to have the same reaction to anyone who asked for his steak medium well or (choke!) well done: “Come back tomorrow!” I always say three words: “Make mine MOO!”
