Yesterday I had every intention of expanding on parts of the poem I posted, but…. Last night I was tired, had such a headache that I took an acetaminophen capsule, AND before I get a warning on the badness of what it can cause, I probably average twelve to fifteen of them a year and that isnot going to hurt me.I will do some tonight, but don’t know how much I’;ll last.

The four line lead in:“’still a long way from everywhere”Well, nobody can go everywhere, though I have been to more than most. And I have lived in the city(s) and out on the range (think mountains, prairies and deserts). But I’ve had to put the cover on my bucket list.>>>>>>>>

First verse:I have lived in Northern California, and I have walked amongthe redwoods. And though I did see the Carribean, i’didn’t see very much of it.I have’ve rode a lot of freight trains. I came through Tucson in 1948, a sixteen year old kid that had no idea where he was going. It was my great good fortune that the freight train i caught out of Colton was a steam engine. It was the last steam engine I saw on any of the main lines. I got off the train in Deming, New Mexico. Was there less than two months, Couple of weeks afer I arrived I was night cook at a burger joint on the west side of town, Made the best hamburgers in town.Did a lot of thumbing, too. Often as not, I did not have a destination, but that never seemed to worry me. It was a wild aimless ride at times, but interesting and educationing.>>>>>>>>That’s it for now. I’m getting a bit groggy and hungry. think I’ll go get a Dos Equi out og the fridge.

Hey-hey Vagabonds..Sunny with blue sky, just waiting for the second boot..“Knute Rockne All American” was the answer yesterdays question, our gal from Montana had it although she didn’t say it.It was a good movie, saw it on PBS years ago.It was billed as part of a Ronld Reagan movie night, of course Ronny played the Gipper and was only in a little bit of the movie..With RR on my mind he stared with Errol Flinn, Olivia de Havilland and Ramond Massey. Two newly graduated officers from West Point persue an aggressive abolitionist through the west and finaly to Harpers Fairy Va..ttfn
