No, Bucky is a seal point Siamese cat.

Hi, T.M.! Well, I really just said that because it fit the joke, but you prompted me to investigate. A seal point is said to have dark brown, almost black, points, with nose and paw pads the same color. A chocolate point has slightly lighter dark brown points, with nose and paw pads a “cinnamon-pink” color. Bucky’s nose is pretty much always pink, (can’t remember ever seeing it not pink) and his paw pads are usually pink, too. (Guess it depends on the colorist?) So, I guess we can conclude that Bucky is, indeed, a chocolate point! Of course, only Darby knows for sure. (If anybody does remember seeing this question answered before, please let us know.) One of my favorite strips had Bucky describe his skin color as a “manly puce.” : )

No, Bucky is a chocolate point. Sealpoints have darker bodies while chocolate points have pale bodies with dark points. I had one of each so I know the difference.

Buck only THINKS he’s “Xena, Warrior Princess”, with the pressure point thing…as usual.
