I get the distinct feeling that Stephanie isn’t going to survive this story, she’s just too reckless

When her body is found, will there be laying on top of the corpse, a business card reading:WILLA SCARLETT Supervillianess

I’ve got a bad feeling about this…

This is a really weird story line. I think Dick Tracy would have told the Cinnamon Knight he was an idiot and threatened to arrest him if he didn’t knock it off.

Stephanie, wake up! You are, I fear, destined to die in your own fantasy! —David, try to keep her from a foolish, unnecessary death!

Good Morning Detectives!Both Knight and Piranha are destined for a brutal end, I fear. Too bad, they’re likeable characters.

Gee why does everybody think Pirahna and Cinnaknight are going to be killed off? Maybe they’ll just “learn their lesson” instead……it seems to me one difference between todays strip and Goulds is that it is a little bit more light hearted…..and frankly, I prefer that. I mean, who really got enjoyment out of Moon Maid blowing up, or Model Jones blown away, or even the Summer Sisters drowning? We read comics for pleasure, and stuff like that hardly leaves you smiling. Besides, we’ve already had one tragedy – Belle not wearing a costume like Moon Maids, ha ha. (jk)

One thing I DO predict is Team Tracy is going to take us on a trip to somewhere satisfying. This is one of those rare strips that is both plot AND character driven. We’ve seen drama, humor, even family dynamics involved. And we do care about our stars and “likeable” B-listers, while despising villains who get what’s coming to them. And we even like some of THEM! I’m going to keep reading along, enjoying whatever road we’re taken on, and continue to read the great stuff and “good morning’s” posted here.

Yeah…I suspect David is talking more about doffing the costumes and getting real police training (notice he isn’t under arrest) rather than cosplay crime fighting taken to the next level. While Stephanie is going the opposite direction.

I am afraid poor David will be widowed before this is over.

I could see the Black Piranha get killed, and that leads to the Cinnamon Knight joining the MCS sans costumed identity. (Remotely similar to how Tracy got involved in crime fighting).

Or in a twist, vice versa.

I say again, “cosplaying” may be one thing, but staging robberies at actual business establishments is something else altogether. That’s got to be a crime of some sort – at least disturbing the peace or something. There is too much danger of innocent people getting hurt. We don’t know what Tracy told CK, but certainly Tracy doesn’t condone staging robberies in such a manner that the “victim” actually thinks he is getting robbed!

While Tracy had him there on the roof, did he ask him to take off his helmet so he (Tracy) could see who he really is?

If Mike & Joe keep it up, they might get some time on a noontime soap opera. Or, Saturday morning TV.

with any luck, we wont see EITHER of them after this story is over. david will probably enter teh police academy after stephanie is brutally murdered by broadway and belle and that will be the end of him for the next few years.

WHERE IS BONNIE BRAIDS AND JOE TRACY?!?!?!? :P

They’re going to get themselves killed. lol

She uses a one-shot spear gun, and he a sword. Does she really think they can break up an armored car robbery? David’s next line should be, “But Stephanie, don’t the bad guys usually bring guns to those parties?”

Am I really the first person to note that Wilson and Croft is a nod to Lewis Wilson and Douglas Croft, the first actors to play Batman and Robin, in a 1943 serial?

Finally figured out who Stephanie looks like. Put the proper hair on panel three and you get Barbara Striesand. If you can read this MikeyJ, how ’bout a comparison?

I think Stephanie wants to play along with Willa, get more information, and then take them down with David and the cops involved.I’m troubled by how many commenters here are calling for her blood. She’s playing a game, and means well by wanting to catch real criminals – hardly grounds for gleefully calling for her demise.Yes, she’s leaping in over her head, but didn’t Honeymoon do that, when she hid in the back of B-B Eyes’ truck (and was nearly killed)?Holy Double Standards!

I’ll stick to what I said before……..starting from Thor’s Hammer, on to Hot Rize, BB Eyes, Abner Kadaver, Cueball, Thunderchild, Blackjack, Stilletta, Phishface, as well as all through the Mr. Crime saga, and right up until now…..when has a “good” character that Mike has actually developed been killed off? Pirahna and/or Knight would be the first. And I’ll also stick with more lighthearted, too……bringing back Mole and Littleface as good guys, and Blackjack kind of being one. I do think everyone should go back and revisit Mordred, though, to even more so appreciate what a great job Joe is doing as well!!!

I’m not rooting for BP or CK to get hurt or die. Just that they get out of the costume business before they do get hurt.

….but it looks to me like they’re simply trying to set the pirahna up to take the fall for a robbery while they get the dough; not kill her…..

But the armed guards on the truck won’t know that Stephanie is just a silly person.
