48% of Americans did not support Obama for reelection. The caricatures are well deserved for the extremists who harp on these stupid issues. The real issues are those more serious issues that are getting worse under Obama’s tutelage: the deficit spending, unemployment, people on food stamps, the increasing poverty level, SSI disability claims at record levels, the anti-business rhetoric, class warfare, just to name a few. What’s sad is that people don’t just mildly dislike Obama, they despise him. A huge number of people that voted for Romney only did so because they felt so desperate to get rid of Obama. It’s comparable to the vitriol that the liberals demonstrated for Bush and Chaney…
Did you hear where Rush predicted a Romney landslide of over 300 electoral votes on Monday, then on Wednesday said that he’d always known that Romney would lose? The guy is not man enough to admit a mistake, he lies instead. And people still listen to him?
Labeling someone as a socialist or Kenyan or repeatedly asking the annoying question of “where’s your birth certificate”, while immature, is not lewd. “Godless Muslim”, on the other hand, is completely offensive and a shameful (albeit an oxymoron) expression.
False wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, a crashing economy while the wealthy got more tax breaks, our friends dying in Afghanistan and Iraq, there were reasons to be fed up with Bush/Cheney, their lies, and profiteering on blood.
Those who “despise” Obama, simply need to wash their sheets and stop burning crosses.
@mickyusing the number of people on foodstamps as a metric for the economy is a strawhorse. i’ll explain. the people currently on foodstamps is due to the bush/cheney total leveraging of everything of worth and while in our economy and shipping middle class jobs abroad as quickly as they could.
Since the republican solution for reducing the number of people on foodstamps would be to eliminate the program, then use the metric of 40 million to zero in four years, i would hardly call that a realistic metric.
@ansonia,i suggest you get more sources for your ‘facts’. there is NO equivalence between the rationale for going to war in iraq or afghanistan and the birther issue. unless you mean the pretenses for both gonig to war and the birther issue is false.
The false statements that iraq had WMD’s and the spineless democrats agreeing to go to war (except for the woman House representative from oakland, ca, who bravely stood up as the sole voice our of 535+ and said she didn’t believe and was impuned for it) have no equavlance to the false statements the birthers make, except they’re both false.
According to an unbiased NRC poll of those who consider themselves on the far fringe right (better know as the KKK) If we look close enough, 99% of the American electorate did not support Obama for re-election. So, who did support Obama for re-election? The Kenyans, of course! That’s right, the Kenyans. Again, according to “you know who” Barack promised Kenyan officials that he would push congress for Kenyan statehood!
Maybe they’ll post Rob Rogers’ Nov 11 cartoon later. It shows Easter Island-like heads that are white and the caption“It was an ancient political culture that ignored changing demographics and became extinct.”
Nevertheless, a “birther” trial is scheduled for Nov 16th, and they have sworn affidavits from numerous experts that Obama’s ‘birth certificate’ is a bad forgery.
