I guess the Fox “news” viewers believe there is no national epidemic of obesity. -And, even if there were an epidemic, no one should even attempt to address it, lest there be something that was Bad for Business.-Included in the Bad for Business category is forcing food and beverage manufacturers to disclose the full contents of what they’re selling.-I remain astonished that the right wingers DO NOT WANT people to know what’s in their food.
But where is the point where personal liberty applies? And where is the line where the federal government should shut up and allow the individual state governments to decide? We allow people to smoke, but force them to where a helmet. Do we mandate the gym to help keep everyone healthy? Do we outlaw non-monogomous sex because it increases the chance for disease? Do we outlaw bacon(I personally will revolt)? Where is the line drawn, and does the federal government have the right to draw it? That is the question that should be asked, and that is the debate which should occur.
Bloomberg is an Independent. There is something else wrong with the soda law. It only applies to restaurants. So you can go to a convenience store and buy a bigger drink. I think the restaurants are already suing.
Yeah, the flu police came by and grabbed me and took me by force into the government selected doctor’s office where I had to wait for ten hours, and the doctor used the same needle for all of us and said that socialism means sharing. Or actually my doctor called me last week and said it was time to check on my medications again (good news — I’ve lost weight and my blood pressure is now back to normal, so no meds needed) and while I was there she gave me the shot and also suggested that I get the shingles vaccine (because I’m a senior now). Ain’t socialized medicine awful?

Only 1 burger per person and no dessert. Also, hiking can be dangerous so ban that too.
