The Coriolis Effect explains why the winds in hurricanes, or storms, in the Northern Hemisphere blow counter-clockwise around the eye. Lebanon lies in the northern hemisphere. I think what Bleibel is trying to say is that the current political climate in Lebanon is not only a Syrian whirlwind, it’s also topsy-turvey. :-|(what, are you going to come up with anything better?)
